the evening for the final round of the uspga championship we have got a stacked leaderboard here so it should be a really exciting evening AK himself will be updating us with the prices throughout the evening so strap in grab a beverage of your choice and enjoy the show um Steve how uh how’s things good evening Jack yes it is uh it is going to be an exciting finish very Ed leaderboard Won’t Be A procession like Scotty Sheffer turned the Masters into so yeah we should have a thrilling finish obviously we’re devastated we haven’t got a pre-tournament pick in the in the mix um you know the Masters was great fun because we had Scotty Sheffer and um yeah it’s going to be a different vibe tonight um but yeah these things happen this is golf the master is easy the uspga is hard 156 Runners we had five of them and we haven’t got anyone in contention as far as I can see but we jump shipped to Bry and Des Shambo this morning I I feel good about that I like being on HMS dambal and uh I hope it’s not a sign of things that comes to I mean he’s absolutely nuked the drive down one stuck it to six feet and then missed the p i mean could that be a sign of the evening to come well it was a frustrating dambo Potter at the Masters as well wasn’t it because obviously he was our next best at the Masters and his putter was ice cold at the Masters so yeah that I I like the way struck the ball in that first hole and um I I I would have him as the as the the likely Champion as thing stand okay great stuff well look we’ll bring AK in shortly let’s just have a quick look through the Inplay prices at the moment Jan the chaule 12 to5 um your favorite at the moment colar Carell 5-2 Bryson Shambo uh round about 5 to1 six to1 sah theala same price Victor hin 13-2 biger the rest here is the the leader ball I mean Bryson’s obviously the man we’re on um Steve and and and and we’re hoping that he goes well were there any names on that list that that that kind of made the short list for you well this course is made for Bryson Des Shambo you know it’s been playing soft and long all week he’s a he’s it’s a powerhouses course and Des shambo’s got a great record around this region he’s won tournaments in Illinois he’s won tournaments in Ohio uh even his LIF successes have been near this this state um so when he gets to a neighboring state um to Kentucky he comes alive and obviously the only defense of this course I mean this course has been getting a lot of criticism which I think is fair enough it’s all a bit straightforward um there’s not much Nuance to it but the main defense of the course is the juicy rough isn’t it the rough is so juicy and you the one player you can rely on to handle juicy rough is Brighton dambo I mean he’s so strong From the Rough remember the US Open that he won in GNA say what course was that at Winged Foot wasn’t it Wing foot and yeah it’s was just bit a bomb and gouge that other players couldn’t do because he he he was so so so good at saving through the rough him and Matt wolfer having a having a field day that we so I think the Shambo strength from the rough will be important today and has been all week I think he relishes this course he’d been playing well on the Liv circuit the only reason we didn’t have pre- tournament is because his form dipped a bit since the Masters um it was disappointing in live Adelaide and disappointing in live Singapore but we were mocking those tournaments pre- tournament weren’t we jack we were mocking them we were fuming with the LIF schedule I should have just ignored those tournaments completely and um you know and the Des Shambo that turned up at the mes is obviously even better equipped for this course so here he goes he’s on the te it’s easy with high we’ve got the leadest teeing off in in what a couple of minutes time to Shambo oh he’s driving the ball beautifully here Steve I mean if the poter gets hot today then then he’s going to be right there or thereabouts is he I mean that’s absolutely massive off two it is I was hoping you were going to say there or thereabouts I mean history history tends to say going into US PJ Sunday you got to be within two shots of the lead um I think it was 12 of the last 13 winners of this tournament have been within two shots of League going into Sunday so um if you if you’re a massive Trends fan and follow that there there’s only a handful of possible winners is Big Shane oh big Shane’s off to a fly well that will set the tone for his day wouldn’t it Shane Larry’s a funny one isn’t he I mean we I’ve backed him a lot this this season and to absolutely no reward but when he gets going he’s a great golfer to watch he’s just so smooth isn’t he and just everything’s like so well oiled absolutely yeah he well oils it with the Guinness doesn’t he abely no he’s very like obviously very likable lad isn’t he likable low should be his nickname and it’s nice to see Victor hofland back in the mix has he gone back to his Old Coach did I read yeah yeah yeah last week so yeah yeah he’s finally come to realize that sacking the the fell that made him the FedEx Cup champion well not made him the FedEx Cup champion I think that’s sometimes part of the problem that you know the I think Tiger Wood us get wound up how much Butch Haron was mentioned all the time you know as if he was the one the that Tiger Woods was winning all this stuff obviously Tiger Woods is the reason he’s all that stuff but we don’t know what went on but Victor ofen yeah he sat Joe mayo and now he’s got Jo Mayo back back in there definitely is something in being over coached I was listening to an interview with Stephen Hendry I it’s a different sport the other week and he said that kind of demise of his career was he was just getting too much coaching if he would have just trusted his technique and and stuck to that he said he would have play natural that’s what Bobby George used to say it Bobby George one of the greatest Sportsman of all time just play just play natural and it’s great advice let’s let’s get the the depressing news out of the way early on and that’s Rory ma Steve I mean this week I’ve been very close to just giving up Sport and maybe taking up like knitting or something I’d my beloved nor City letting me down in in in spectacular Fashion on Thursday Rory he does he does this doesn’t he teases you on round one and then finds a way to let you down and uh oh we just I really really did like Rory this week and and I know you did as well Steve and just this week There’s Something about it obviously the news of his divorce being filed wasn’t the best lead into to the week but no no no I don’t know whether the timing could have been better on that I mean we we were talking about the Stars being aligned weren’t we we enjoyed saying that I I still enjoy saying that the stars were aligned but we didn’t know about that particular star we it’s like a you a meteor had come in um yeah we’re all on this ryry train and then the divorce news just just you rocked me I didn’t see that one coming I did it did I thought they were a lovely happy couple and um going from strength to strength I did not know they were you know there was trouble at Mill as they say I didn’t know I did not know there was trouble at Mill um and that yeah that unsettled me a little bit and um yeah and then you sort of speculate when did he know this was going to happen but it seemed very poor timing to be the the Monday of of of a major week absolutely but he was full of beans the week before wasn’t he and didn’t seem to give a monkeys about anything so I don’t know Michael says Rory will definitely win another major I mean I’ve been saying that for 10 years Michael and and it’s it’s getting no closer here we go Rory speak C up here so we got Rory now about to hit his pot on eight just hit hist on they only shown him because it’s gone in or they shown him just yeah they are already showing because he G well that’s great if you can just get in the places come on Rory please get in the places um yeah I’ve Got Friends that I’ve advised top 10 bets pre- tournament um whe wh whether this will not be beaten uh cry in their ears and um they’re going to hate me forever if he doesn’t finish in the top 10 so I really need Rory to finish in the top 10 at the very least and yeah the back n’s much easier maybe he’s on a roll now um I mean it’s heartbreaking yesterday wasn’t it when he yeah he was close to becoming favorite for the golf tournament I know well it was that half an hour stretch wasn’t it what was it kind of three was there three or four makeable puts yes andone Dro you just oh like if all three of those go in I know it’s you know I was texting my good lady wife who was up at the time I said um Rory’s just missed three parts the length of you and if he had got those three yeah nobody know the younger generation don’t know the um feet they they don’t work they don’t know what a foot is well she surely know how tall she is wouldn’t she in feet my wife is uh my wife is uh 10 and a half years younger than me cash back as Alan Partridge would say um so I Partridge came into me head because Dean Partridge came in don’t know he’s related to Alan Partridge but yeah yes my wife doesn’t know feet and inches as well as an old man like me um so yeah I just try and give lengths um on the size of things and Rory missed three putts in succession Birdie putts the length of my wife and if he’d hold all of them he would have been favorite for the golf tournament would have been on is one of his famous roles and um yeah everything would be so different but uh yeah maybe the Stars haven’t aligned well we we’ve got we’re on the Shambo to to to go well today so it means that you don’t fancy the the three to kick on they are morawa cha and thala I think in the corner of my eye I’ve Just Seen theala hold an absolute monster I think you did see that yeah sh you so you don’t fancy that the always it’s hard isn’t it it’s hard I’m a hard-nosed punter I should be supporting everyone you know everyone apart from Des I want to do bad things but I love big Shane so much that I actually felt a Pang of frustration that that Miss that’s that’s poor I’m I becoming soft in my old age that was a grotesque um stroke I must say well yesterday it was the greatest part and performance of his life so you know you know he a very fickle mistress isn’t it puty absolutely come on Shane Larry says Josh McGuire and um I can completely understand that sense we going in with that Steve I mean it’s all Bryson isn’t it for this oh for me personally yeah yeah yeah but I can understand Mr Maguire’s uh passion for for Shane there if I was a neutral which I never am um I would be supporting Shane Larry right Luke asks can we get a sink and and this is poor timing Luke because um we’ve currently got no shots to watch um there’s a cutway of the 18th green if that helps I think Steve and I are yeah steveen I in sync so just you know just just relax it comes to something doesn’t it we have to have viewers you know telling us to be professional I mean we should be doing that ourselves so I do apologize to to our our viewer there no we’ll sync up as soon as possible yeah I don’t fancy that the leers I just thought the leaders would incredibly short prices you know Xander cha has got a lot a lot on his plate here mentally he hasn’t won for almost two years he’s led a lot of good chances slip he seems to lack Killer Instinct these days yeah the the career pass of both of these leaders quite similar in that respect when Xander chaale and Colin morar are both burst onto the scene they made incredible starts of their career and an absolutely granite in contention you know col Mor car won two majors as quick as a flash cha uh used to be so reliable so dependable In Contention and as they’ve got older more battle scars um you know life has gone on and they’ve just be both become a bit brittle In Contention so you know the pair of them together could drag each other down in a in a a sea of anxiety I I hope we we we we spoke about marawa though in in the Masters watch long those Steve didn’t we just turns up for the majors I mean maybe maybe we’re sleeping on him a bit as as the youth would say well yeah he turned up turned up early in the Masters then shot 74 in the Final Round And if you look at his Sunday rounds for his last five PJ tour events uh four of them are 74s or five of the last six I wrote about it this morning I can’t quite remember um but loads are 74s and the other one was a 72 GW from Bryson to Shambo so yeah hold that brys oh that’s how we’re going to bring life to this I apologize for the pre-tournament tips but if you’re on Des shambal now in there’s still time if you’re not on shambal you’re going to be on the winner um well I suspect I suspect if ak’s just watched that he he may have um shortened them up a little bit have you have you shouted the Shambo in the face of any wouth publicans today Steve I actually went to bridport today my family and I went to bridport um West Bay you probably know it from watching broad Church did you used to watch bro church one of the greatest dramas in in the history of in British television yeah um so we were hanging out there today and up to a few brid Porters and shouted it um didn’t want to get arrested though I mean Scotty Chef is you know giving us a warning isn’t he that you don’t want to be messing around with the the law there’s been so there has been so much um happening this week hasn’t it there’s been a lot going on I mean thank goodness because you know we’ve got a five or six hour broadcast ahead of us here Rory’s got stance there difficult stance but I think he’s got away with one there I um I I haven’t shared this information with you yet Steve I was just going going through my uh my betting account I’ve had an absolute horror show I’ve accidentally backed everyone twice my fat thing yeah oh everyone that at pre- tournament oh blim me how does that happen you sure that was your fault that doesn’t sound like your fault well what I know what’s happened is I I’ve gone to place them and it said sort of error so i’ I’ve come out and gone in again and placed them and it said success and I’ve forgotten about it all week and I’ve gone in I’ve got 12 open bets well that could have worked out well and unfortunately worked out very well it’s a shame it didn’t happen for the Masters but there we go Li the breaks but but maroy if he pops out in he’s within five shots of the lead um never give up on a good thing baby you can tell we’re still fresh in this stream and full of beans you do seem in a great mood though Steve I mean you our New Year’s resolution for you wasn’t for you to not get your nickers in a Twist wasn’t it and and I think that’s working quite nicely well there’s been some sunshine today I think Sunshine’s absolutely vital to my you know my mental health um you know yesterday was so disappointed you see the Thunder yesterday very thundery day oh no it was nice here oh did you oh no we had just thund the storms all day and asked thinking blind is it ever GNA come the summer but today today’s been fantastic so um yeah last night was was a difficult one with the maoy tease it was like a tease and then he went you know he’s been up and down all week isn’t he um but today yeah I suppose today I woke up with a sort of sense of surrender um I find people people generally not just me if they surrender to the isness um that’s an eart toly phrase one of my mind gurus that my my dad put me on to do you know eart toly yeah yeah well Power of Now The Power of nowes yeah as soon as you surrender to the isness um you’re okay do you do you read him at sort of bedtime do you Steve to get in a state of mental Clarity I I have read most of eart to’s books uh I went to one of his seminars actually yeah me and my dad went to one of his seminars he’s one of our heroes you know wow but he yeah if anyone’s out there struggling with their yeah their mental health I would I would advise looking up echart tly and um you know he will guide you through um you know strategies but yeah yeah yeah I I woke up this morning i’ given up on Rory maoy and he’s now gonna burd in the next three hours and I’m gonna suddenly think it’s on again and then we’re gonna go through the same process uh James oh hello James how are you he says I still can’t be having Xander I mean we we I wasn’t sure if it was a compliment or a criticism we described him as a Volvo on Tuesday didn’t we and um have you had any sort of Volvo drivers giving you stick this week I mean I think it was a compliment yeah I had road rage from the Volvo Drive yeah it was a compliment it was a compliment I was talking about all round reliability I’m saying they’ve got a reliable car there and we said he’d be parked on the leaderboard all week he has been parked on the leader board all week um but we didn’t fancy him to finish the job we fancied a Ferrari or a Lamborghini to zoom past I mean as he got many Ferraris or Lamborghinis around him I would describe D Shambo I know D shambo’s got a lot of haters out there um but I would describe D Shambo as a as a as a Lamborghini more sort of a Hummer isn’t he a tank showing off your car knowledge yeah yeah the chieftain Challenger main battle tank um but yeah yeah yeah I think he’s the he’s the one that’s going to zoom past um so hopefully they come back from this AB break he’ll pop that Putt in and then we’ll be with him one and then anything can happen from there but yeah it’s a difficult boat to be in because I guess we’ve got a lot of casual viewers here more of a European audience I don’t know you’re the social media king you tell me um but we are cheering on an an American who used to be very obnoxious and is’s much more mellow these days and likable these days I hope people don’t mind us jumping on HMS to shambal um because that is where we’re going to be in sconed for the remainder of hope hopefully we won’t have to jump any more ships no absolutely um well well Mar car’s got a birdie p on one it’s it’s a long one let’s say I think AK is hanging around here somewhere he is ah there he is how are you AK is I Su well first of all are you better because you had a horrendous ordal earlier in the week didn’t you uh yeah I did yeah I uh bust my eardrum I don’t know if you can see I’ve still got are they AK branded they look sort of on yeah the local pharmacy is is getting on the train as well yeah yeah yeah so no all good all good uh pain has subsided somewhat um with the concoction of uh Pharmaceuticals that I’m on and uh yeah but just still bleeding basically so hence hence the hence the plug in how long does that take then AK is that an is it a surgical procedure or it just it mends itself so yeah we’ve gone for the mend itself approach here oh there’s two options are right yeah there is um I think hearing will probably return properly in four to six weeks apparently wor scenario so can only hear out one ear at the moment no I can actually hear but it’s just very it’s very muffled in this side so it’s it’s not ideal for no It’s Tricky isn’t it tricky you got you got angle yourself haven’t you yeah yeah you end doing this a lot yeah so I’ve got oh is that in it is in and your failure do you want him to win well let’s bring up ak’s tweet actually because we ‘ got the sort of biggest losers and and and winners in the book AK talk us through this I mean on a scale of 1 to 10 how much stress has the golf um provided you this week uh stress I don’t really get stressed about uh about results to be honest with you so so very very very little stress um maroy was maroy is by far would have been by far the worst result basally Chael is despite being the second biggest loser in the book it’s it’s it’s not uh um yeah it’s it’s it’s it’s a five figure amount for us but it’s not anything it’s it’s it’s not of Sheffer Master’s level so it’s it’s not too bad the hland liability was probably back end of round three a few few Believers around the 16 to1 Mark who ended up getting the price right in that regard so um yeah and then I think I think M and Des Shambo are probably more the Steve Palmer effect given given our uh given our sponsorship of of The Sweet Spot so um yeah it’s it’s it’s not too bad to be honest chaf is probably the one we want to get beat um and everything else will be we’ll be fairly happy with there’s a couple of absolute um brilliant results in there basically Lowry from the clouds would be an unbelievable result for us uh thala um would be a massive result for us absolutely no Believers for thala this week um with ourselves so they they’d be two cracking cracking results so supposed we’ll be cheering those on doesn’t get stressed Jack he don’t get stressed he he book makes responsibly absolutely there’s no stress involved in this I’ve never been stressed in my life cuz I gamble responsibly come on exactly exactly no it’s not it’s it’s a so Shane L’s a winner for you AK Shane L is a big big winner for you surpris doublin based firm you think you’d have your book full of Larry f there was no Bel just quickly Rory ma or a short birdie part if this drops we’re starting to believe this to go to 10 under holes it I love I love that positivity is it mathematically possible he’s probably he’s probably gone from 2,000 to one to 1,000 thousand to one is BL me fill your boot think that yeah yeah yeah hey talk talk us through Rory because I think I saw a tweet from you earlier in the week and you sort of had the biggest losers in the book and you just put in Brackets next to it let’s not talk about it or something I mean us to nationality I believe to do with the nationality question I usually I usually put a flag after each player oh I see I see yeah as a as an Englishman in uh in the Republic of Ireland I won’t be I won’t be entertaining those questions anytime soon anyway so got you but I mean we we get ourselves carried away each each time a major comes around don’t we and uh and sadly it seems to always end the same way yeah like I I think he’ll win I think he’ll win more I think he’ll win plenty more like he’s always he’s there were there abouts I know I know it’s been a while um and I know the prices can be I think whenever you put as Steve’s probably aware whenever you put Rory up for a major at a pricing and around the 10 to one Mark you’ll get a lot of people mourning that he hasn’t won one for a long time etc etc but he’s he’s banging contention he’s he’s a horrible so consist so consistent in MJ he’s always there consistent yeah exactly kind of kind of chaer esque I suppose for from from uh being consistent and not really not really getting it done point of view but um yeah even from you can you can definitely understand it from an e perspective he’s he’s definitely for me he’ll definitely win more were you pleased by the divorce news because um yeah the divorce news came after I’d sent my tips out and I was really quite unsettled by it did you get any Whispers In in Ireland about it no no my finger wouldn’t be uh to the pulse of marital relationships of Irish Sportsman I’m afraid but the uh I’d I’d be thrilled for him if it’s a if it’s if if it’s what he wants um some people saw it as a positive didn’t they because when he remember when he famously dumped Caroline wasaki um when they were engaged they were planning the wedding on one phone call and then he he put the phone down and then texted um to a cancel here and then the following week he won the BMW PJ championship at Wentworth so there was a lot of people suggesting that this was a real massive positive for M fans but it has not worked out that way yeah like I think we made the observation even between myself and the wife made the observation that of all the full swing episodes that she wasn’t really in she wasn’t really in his full swing episode so and imagine it’s been on the cards for a while would be my guess first on the back of that that was one should have known we should have known we should have seen it coming through full swing yeah yeah exactly everyone everyone’s wife got a good mention in full swing and she got a very brief walk on part at the end of his bit from what I what I remember maybe that’s why she he left her he was fuming about come on you got to put more effort into the Netflix documentaries all the other wives did it who knows who knows you must speculate I don’t know what’s going on but yeah I didn’t see it as a positive I was pretty pretty disappointed that with that um yeah it’s a different ball game isn’t it canceling an engagement to leaving a you know the financial repercussions are probably he’s not running well financially at the moment with financial decisions Rory so I think he’s got a good prenup didn’t he got a good prenup um but there were a few Jesters suggesting have to sign up for Liv now after the divor news but hopefully you won’t succumb to that so Thal is bogie thei I believe um and Bryson dambal is in third place it’s just that cha birdie that’s that’s annoyed me a bit because that will settle him down no end sh the Shambo would be a half sickener for me after having fancing him massively personally for for the master well this is it this is it absolutely yeah and did you did you were you put off by live Adelaide and live Singapore I mean I’m chastising myself for letting those two rubbish events affect me but he he was poor in them he was poor in those two from a watching perspective I’m just not really all over live at all myself personally I’m barely watching it at all um he was zoned out in those he was zoned out in but I stupidly let that put me off but never mind yeah I don’t get stressed either good on good on to be the a quick a quick reminder of AK sign up offer um teams that were supposed to all the mug one all the mugs one today yeah exactly I think United were kind of the they weren’t favorite sort of at the start of um s when it was first priced up against Brighton but there was some money for them and all like the 10 teams that won were all popular and it paid just over 100 to one there was you know a lot of goals as there normally are um you so I think there will be a fair few um punter celebrating a a football win and maybe playing been play on the golf tonight absolutely absolutely it’s exactly what I’ve done I mean arsenal were the one that people were worrying about yeah Arsenal took their time didn’t they they they did I mean I only I must admit I only switched over to Arsenal when Man City scored just so I could see the reaction at the Emirates sort of as they were getting demoralized and then switch back to city but yeah they they got the job done in the end I think the sort of people have become um these final days Everyone likes to have a a go on on goals and both teams have scor obviously not all the teams scored but a lot of the favorites won there were a lot of goals and um yeah it was all good easiest winner I’ve ever had Arsenal Man City Liverpool with two balls tips uh in the in the golf possession by Young Hunan and of course I mean I mean everyone everyone would have been everyone would have been on that fourfold Steve it was a fivefold with Patrick c as well and that it was 2.24 to one I was like how can that possibly be 2.24 to1 it’s like so certain to happen yeah well Kai havs did you a favor very lat on well exactly yeah yeah I forget that there was 89th minute winner at Arsenal but yeah yeah yeah good day for the uh the Shorties Shane Larry’s playing Well Jack sorry he yeah he is indeed Tom ask Mark who wins the the playoff final well we’ve got a nice Norwich narrative in there haven’t we we’ve got farker against Russell Martin Le against Southampton oh Jake maybe your best place you saw leads up close the other night I’m sure you I I I think I’d Edge towards Southampton um they know they they beat leads um you know Ellen Road I thought they were a better side lateer on U last day of the Season wasn’t it um lead’s played well against Norwich but your boys didn’t turn up did they really I think it’s fair to say um I just think that I don’t like it when the team’s under massive amounts of pressure and I always feel with leads like there’s this negative vibe around them and the playoffs and they sort of you know they come through I think the E I don’t want to be too harsh on Norwich but I think they’ve come through the the easier semi-final I’ve been quite negative I think about Norwich for most of this season as was you jack for a large part of it before you kind of got going and so I wouldn’t I wouldn’t overrate that form whereas I thought West Brom deserved to be in the play and Southampton have kind of dispatched them on the Friday there’s not much in it um you could make a case for either one but i’ probably Edge towards um Saints okay and and and with the Euros edging ever closer Mark I mean is has your opinion changed any on that or are you are you holding firm with your early opinions I I’m I’m sticking with England um you I’m not somebody that I’m not somebody that gets the old um sort of St George’s flag painted on the face um you know for for these tournaments I’ll bet whoever I think is the kind of you know the best value and I think England I’m looking at it for me England and France are quite a bit um sort of better than the rest at the moment um and so you’re picking between them two I mean obviously that was the uh the recent England team I’d be slightly concerned um if that was the side that that turned up you know there’s a few there that wouldn’t get in but you saw foden today I mean he’s he’s just played out of his skin All Season bellingham’s been fantastic for Real Madrid Kane didn’t win a trophy of course with Bayern Munich but individually he’s a fantastic season sack’s done well for Arsenal Deon rice has been one of the best players in the Premier League yeah I I think that England are going to take a fair bit of beating there there’s a word going around for um for Germany at the moment seems to beit the sort of the more people I speak to the more that that Germany’s name is coming up obviously host um if you imagine sort of a couple of years ago I think you say all right Germany a host you would fancy them to be favorites really and there’s been a sort of negative vibe around them for a couple of years nlman the coach is the best manager in in the tournament by like an absolute distance he’s managed to persuade Tony Crow to come out of retirement you got crows and rudiger you know going well for uh Real Madrid probably going to win the champions league and won La Liga but I still and havs is obviously coming to form as well but I’d still worry um about um just their overall form really for the last couple years you got to forgive a lot I think um in terms of of Germany so I think England and France are as the market suggest there as you can see with AK bets are the two best teams in the um in in in the competition likely to meet in the semifinals and uh it sounds a bit boring isn’t it to go for um I hope I hope you’re right Mark I mean it’s just giving me kind of Rory Vibes in the golf you want them to win and they should win and I don’t I don’t necessarily want them to win you know I couldn’t care L really I mean I’m not I’m not going to be in Trafalga square like dancing or letting fireworks out of my backside as as people were during the Euro final of a few years ago so Steve’s grimacing there what’s going on Steve not good news life of Bryson and he’s contenders or just also runs you’ve seen it like with Wales for instance you know like Gareth Bale when he was on form at the the Euros you know when Wells reached the semifinal they can’t do that unless Bale was playing the way that he was so you know somebody like Hungary for instance like Sosi hasn’t finished the season brilliantly I would say for Liverpool but has you know been a big part of what Hungary have done in the last couple of years and they had some really good results but you want him to be like absolutely flying that’s for sure when’s When’s the last game then Mark because well but he just wouldn’t be a choice I think you have to make brown F again I mean I think he’s done well for Everton but I think it’s different when you play for Everton they defend deep you know they’re quite a defensive side I think it’s easier to kind of defend well in an Everton team if that makes sense maybe and some of these teams are are more aggressive boing I think he’ll just miss out just because of the pure quality of the other midfielders and attackers Cole Palmer has to go I mean he’s had a Sensational um season for your boys Chelsea rashford he’ll probably go um but I mean I’m never been the biggest Marcus rashford um sort of fan really I know he had a hot spell last season I think he’s a Winger rather than the forward and I do think we’ve got a lot of good wide players so wouldn’t be a rush to take him I think you got to take greish a you just for morale purposes he’s so good to have around the place isn’t he he’s good for Squad morale yeah and also you know if you um together you might negate the Brilliance of Bellingham and as good as foden has been this season I think bellingham’s been even better for Real Madrid so I’d play absolutely to the strength of Bellingham and put kind of another more defensive minded player alongside de rice centrally and then I think foden just slips in on the left hand side so pretty comfortable I like the gung-ho policy eye for those wretched world rankings wouldn’t it which are rigged like I was I don’t know exactly how they decided on the field of this but I was alled to see Patrick Reed in as well they obviously had to if they didn’t pay attention to the world rankings or Reed wouldn’t have been in is that right no there was a set of invites there was loads of invites this year and a lot of them a lot of them were Live players I mean Taylor G obviously got an invite after throwing his toys out the pram about about everything yeah a lot of livers got in this I think Lou us Haren Lucy Haren was invited into this and actually turn the invite down I mean there’s a lot of animosity in the game at the moment isn’t there between the the liers and the PJ chores somebody needs to get this sorted maybe the man to to step in and get this done well I I just I just want to see the the best players and the the world rankings are just rigged at the moment it’s complete far and then they say oh yeah well it’s it’s team golf uh they’re only uh they’re only playing that three rounds and it’s like I I see tournaments all well not all the time but you would see occasionally a tournament reduced to three rounds and I assume they still give world ranking points for that that uh little Jolly up Tiger has at the end of the year they give world ranking points for that it’s surely not beyond the wit of man to assign some live world ranking points to the live golfers it’s the team golf element that which was the main problem and Sebastian moono let the cat out the bag and ruined it for everyone when he he said that um at one stage he was focused on the team leaderboard and he sort of lagged a pter he lagged a putt up rather than go for the individual win because he was worried about the team uh ramification so as soon as the player the Live players started talking about that you know focusing on the team element more than the individual element that the world ranking bodies were alarmed by that so yeah I understand your frustration I understand your frustration but um you know that’s that is the way it is but yeah yeah the world rankings are scooted Xander chaale few few we’ve still got build up a pressure basically just very very uncomfortable very very very painful in furnace now to from from there yeah until yeah sat next to I felt very bad for him there there was a couple of zombies in there in furnace and then there was a young lad who was about 14 or 15 who broke his leg in a football match so we we were quite The Eclectic mix actually and he was having to wait as well I would thought that streamline straight into theater yeah no he was wearing I don’t know if it was like um I don’t know what it was his whole leg was covered and I presume he was a broken like might have been like an ankle or something but he was just sat in a chair there and it was just oh depressing very one of those places isn’t it that makes you realize goodness gracious I’m glad I don’t have to sit in here yeah and Jesus then poor like poor nurses and doctors like they spend all that money training and then they’re just working brutal isn’t it it’s absolutely brutal awful I couldn’t do it to be honest with you because you definitely should that you and each way bet is two bets it’s it’s the win part of it is a win bet and the place part of it is what price they are to finish in in those places and it should they should be treated uh as separate bets like Blended together essentially like there’s no people are obsessed with if if if it’s a 50 odds they won’t back less than 5 to one each way and stuff like that and those rules uh from a pting point of view you shouldn’t they don’t make sense you can have an each way bet in it place and it’d be a really good bet and you lose money on the each way part of the of the BET like you shouldn’t they’re two separate things so that would be my advice to to P us basically right Steve Stricker in the Region’s tradition the other day we were discussing that wouldn’t we there was C to the five out there at four to one Steve Stricker in the region tradition and you you really would struggle to find five players to beat him in there yeah like if there was a top five Market you you probably want got you want to got five to four basically so yeah that’s the way you should think about it poor shot from our man Bryson there Steve she I think feel like she did stay all right she just didn’t stay you’re going to have to stay like one mile two to kind of be ridden like that but the fact that she kind of went bursting clear of them when he did press goore I think that’s a really special Philly and I’d give her another chance over a mile if she was to run um yeah me too me too yeah let me know when that one’s running that was the best horse in the race wasn’t it though that oh without a doubt it’s dead frustrating when you you back then once um like it’s a tricky cost new market for and he probably hasn’t ridden there very much so you can forgive him yeah that isn’t going to um I’d heard the whispers about that one ages ago and um yeah yeah she she’s clearly very good um and there was obviously question marks over the stamina but from what I saw that I I don’t think it was while it looked like stamina got a beat because she got beat in the last few that was a suicidal ride on a suspect stayer um yeah and I think you could probably ride her with a little bit more restraint next time yeah I think she’s I’d like I’d like to see her over a mile again to be honest um you going to go to Royal ascort do you like getting your your fancy sort of probably not um I live up in the Northeast now so it’s a bit more of a trek um and I’m think I’m working all week but um that’s one of the few me I’ve been to I’m not a regular horse racing but I’ve been to that one a couple of times yeah no it’s good it is good fun Royal Ascot to be fair um I’m not sure I’m quite one to rock the top hat and tails like he needs a bit more stature than W I look a bit like penguin when I wear top tails I’ve seen pictures of you in your Marathon gear they were telling me you’ve run the London Marathon do you want to tell us all about that Marathon I did the lead lead marath leads Marathon much more than the London one God it was it was hard work but um who took that photo who took that oh who got that yeah there very nice um was that your lady wife taking photos of you uh yeah I don’t know who it was to be honest they’re the professional ones then oh they’re the professional ones yeah yeah so did you win the race I won I won in my head I won um I just needed to get over the line I was delighted when it had finished yes but n it was it was good fun that was the first one I’ve ever done to be fair so um it was good fun in a weird way um did you raise a lot of money for charity yeah we Rose um we we got I think about nearly 1500 quid but considering like I only set that up about a week before I needed to make sure I was going to get there um Shuff just missed that yeah yeah yeah there’s the wobble that three from Xander oh my God wobble time it’s wobble do you want to take over I’m just going to go have some coffee I think if if Z keeps me making mistakes oh hello that wasn’t expected was it Tom was just telling us about how much money he raised for charity so I’m going to leave you to discuss that while I go and get a little top up but yeah yeah the wobble started the wobble started uh py how how was the marathon training because I I do like my running but it’s just I suspect how did you avoid injury or didn’t you I didn’t no I had to kind of just plow through i’ got tend night like in like the top of my quads and hits hor I got to like a point about two months out of the race where it was like you need to rest it but then you’re not going to get there so it was just a case of like you just got to do it all slowly and it’s it’s very different from like I was used to kind of running 5K 10K and then the key is slowing down and like everyone all the people who’ve done it before telling me like I slow down you go far too fast and like you’re like yeah it feels comfortable and I think you kind of ego gets the better of you but you do really just have to slow everything down because like they’re more effective than you think just having a little jog at a really leisurely Pierce as you say I mean yeah if you’re running sort of 5 10ks so then go to Fourth YK or whatever as a matter that I mean that’s so difficult I well done mate I mean because I was following your training on stra mean you were putting in the miles it’s a yeah done the the race is kind of the celebration of the training really it’s hard work and like socially it can be um it’s a like you’ve got to like did you cut the booze out completely or no I mean I’d said about a month out from the race that I wasn’t going on the booze and then I had like a a massive Bender about 10 days after that so I’ve just I I did stop the week before but ah it’s too hard like and I’m you know what I’m like I’m too um easily LED um so as soon as like I was off the wagon that was it um what’s going on with Bryson here park I’ve missed a bit this is oh this is his second shot shot yeah um I didn’t know if he’d had to take a drop there was that close yeah you couldn’t have put that in a better place could you wow these Fairways by the way they look absolutely ridiculous like a carpet how’s your golf going you still playing Arts yeah I tore tendon believe it or not speaking of tendon injur I tore tendon in my hand um last July uh did you how did you do that I don’t know it was it I felt it it was just playing a a shot um had a sharp pin and then it went and tried to get it back but um yeah I was out for I didn’t swing I couldn’t physically swing a golf club until about a month or so ago um and like the last yeah three four weeks I’ve been able to play For The First Time pain free oh so yeah getting it back um The Game’s like the game’s definitely there I was a bit worried that like I’m going to be so badly handicapped that it’s going to be so uncompetitive but like I played all right the other day so that was a relief it’s just a little bit hit and miss but it tends to be like rounds hit and miss rather than Halls so like you can still play some good golf good I’m glad glad you’re back fit well let’s take a quick look at the market after what it’s been a fairly dramatic um five minutes with that Miss three P from chaffle um hland and chaffle now joint favorites 6 to4 Bryson to Shambo 5-2 did you see the wed shot from Bryson Steve I was I was I was having to ask Parky if he’d had to take a drop but it was it was no just the perfect it was a very aggressive drive wasn’t it yeah a lot of players on that hole have been playing further right playing safe it was a very you know aggressive drive from from dambo he’s played that hole really well so far hope hopefully he can pop that birdie part in well are we expecting that the CHL wobble to continue or was that just a minor blit I think so I think so were there any histrionics after I didn’t get a chance to to monitor his reaction to it but I think he looks fairly calm to be honest he’s it an absolute Beauty there yeah that’s I mean that following up that’s the way one way to not what we need I’m gonna try and sort this um I’m just me out of microphone for about 30 seconds no that’s fine that’s fine the fox pits got me started on the new golf handicapping well it’s not new anymore it’s a few years old and the World handicap system I absolutely detest it the fox yeah tweak it even more haven’t this year is it like I don’t know I got seem to read an email as I said I’ve not really there is there is a slight tweak the thing I don’t like about I I don’t I don’t think you should be able to enter cards in non-competitive rounds I think I think you should only be able to enter scores in in competitions because you you can you can you know swing your handicap either way depending on I think the problem is people who do enter them are going to have different like I enter them a lot during the season because that’s what it’s designed to do um and you get people like my dad and his pal who absolute Cowboys putting them in when it suits or when well exactly yeah and it it just kind of yeah you shouldn’t I I just don’t think you should be able to have the ability to manipulate a handicap system like that yeah it’s um I suppose what it does do is it makes it easier for people who perhaps don’t play enough to have a full membership somewhere it makes it easier for them to kind of have handicap and and and play like competitive golf I suppose yeah and F Freddy’s put this in I mean this is not what we want Steve a playoff is it I mean I’m well the caffeine might hit by then but it’s um we’ve been going for nearly three hours already and we’re on the 10th me take a play off sorry I was M yeah I’ll take you take a playoff if Bryson is in it are you you are you uh volunteering to go at this alone then if I oh you go to bed yeah at least you haven’t got to go and guide people through the Giant cause where poor old Brendan’s um feeling the pace isn’t he of all his jobs how many jobs have you got Parky about plenty the my wife is um actually pain in the bedroom as we speak at the moment so that’s one less this these are Big moments in the golf tournament holand to go to 20 under par at 14 hins just crept up on I think it was champelli that that mentioned hland and I hadn’t even thought about him until that point and oh okay he’s missed that one he’s missed that one all that coach chat’s nonsense they and it chopping in changing coaches that’s nonsense well it was a mad decision absolutely Bonkers I mean he’s had the best season of his career he’s won the felex cup the Ridder cup he was an absolute Beast he looked in total control of his game and then he’s just got it in his head over Christmas that he was swinging better in the olden days and he’s decided to change up I I thought he’d lost his mind I mean I was on sweet spots saying that they should get him in a straight jacket you know um but fortunately he’s come to his senses and uh he’s gone back to his old coach and instant results I mean um yeah just a few months of Madness but it looks like hovland’s back is Cha’s approach to 12 oh di there’s been I tell you what J there’s been some golf on show today there’s not I know it’s relatively scorable but you know that the why have they just cut away from let’s go and watch Robert McIntyre when we could watch the Absolut Jack I agree with what Parky was saying it doesn’t really doesn’t excite me like there’s Carnage out there somewh no no I agree I agree I think you you can plot your way around this can’t you you know there there there’s opportunities to be had I can’t see anyone making a massive score right big part for Bryson after we’ve cut away to to to Bobby mcai hitting wedge for par big po Bryson well done in the ball game still in the ball game thank you very much still in the ball game uh yeah architecturally this is a uninspiring golf course um it’s a big big ballpark but um it was soft greens it’s very very straightforward as you can see from the scoring we we’re at the stage now what do we think wins it what’s the score needing to be win uh I think 21 under par 21 22 13 is 13’s very getable is it and then 18’s easy 22 is a winner definitely yeah yeah I think 2 I think we’re going to need to get a well in which case what would we need we’ need a birdie on how many how many Bryson got left four five four to play Four to play so we need a birdie from from him on most the whole jandas 3 to four hin 13 to8 the Shambo 11-2 three run a race e 18 together early um what are the what are the tricky holes in the run in well 13’s easy so he’s got a chance to really push on it 14 is a is a bogey Hole uh that’s Bryson um could be about to find out so um yeah four here we hopefully make a make a holix of 14 and 15 yeah 14 and 15 are hard yeah Bryson got his par at 14 of course and now we’re here we are at 15 this is a tricky one for Bry it’s on the it’s on the UPS slope he knows he’s got water behind him I can’t imagine he putting this one past the an up and down here would be absolutely Majestic it would and it’s absolutely essential given the shape of that leaderboard now played it well always played it very well okay we still in the ball game we’re still in the ball game that was a that was a must up and down wasn’t it in the given the circ*mstances Tom asks um what’s Steve’s highest break it is 37 oh that’s a good game yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah it was it’s a 37 yeah yeah 37 very forgiving Pockets at my snooker Club you you need to speak to clarky actually about snooker he’s a very yeah he’s good snook I think he’s I’m sure he’s had a couple of tongue bre yeah yeah I know he’s had a a one three something has he that’s some going isn’t it that’s some going so yeah he’s got a little short irings down there to yeah cha could get the 21 under here quite conceivably got a few issues does Shambo buckers have issues um I don’t I would say we’ve got issues have we let’s let’s have a look at the prices let’s bring up the let’s bring up the leaderboard um going into the hoping that maybe there’s a shot penalty coming for Xander and col marov how slow they’ve been playing they’re two ho behind absolutely yeah uh CHL two’s on hovland two to one oh blind me Bryson’s out to T yeah we have got some issues here I didn’t think he did that big though yeah yeah yeah Cha’s just got away and 13’s a birdie hole so okay hopefully cha pass 13 and then Bogie’s 14 and it’s game on again entirely feasible scenario so what have Steve being on and everything like that so it was kind of very Feelgood and I think this has been good just from it’s it’s been still undecided so it’s it’s an undes undecided come right right basically which is which is always good bit CRA what what’s it been like with the uh with the Steve Palmer influence coming in in terms of particularly major weeks is it kept you on your toes a bit more yeah definitely so you build up like major week it’s a real interesting one from a point of view I think where we could potentially be more nervous if Steve is actually in the weeks without Majors so when there’s when there’s major weeks we’re obviously building liabilities up but we’re building them up as singles whereas in the week like as we saw last week in particular with Van royan he on the radar at the start of the week Steve I mean he’s been in solid he was a short price he’s such he’s got such a fan club I you’re struggling to get 14 to one pre- tournament I don’t think they’re giving you much there but it’s it’s because he’s so consistent he’s you’re always getting your place money so uh that’s why it’s been so short but um yeah yeah I mean yeah on a human level let’s try and get it to a human level he’s a nice fell and he’s he’s he’s um yeah we’re pleased for him on a human level watch out copper going to arrest him going to arrest him ARR how does um how does that end the week for you AK uh it’s another loss um the in running go Trader still has a job though for for Callin yeah 2 to1 was a good price he did well not to override but yeah no um a losing week to be honest with you a five figure losing week I’d imagine um not checked how the Sid markets have gone or anything like that but um simar to me AK yeah keep laying the front of the market at those big juicy prices and they they keep winning so uh we’ll hang in there well there we go project longterm project Steve one word um review of the week um interesting interesting I’m pleased for Ang Chael on a human level um but yeah I don’t think um I don’t think AK is happy with it I’m I’m certainly not happy with it but yeah I don’t have any regrets look at that nice to see nice to see Bryson and Zander share a handshake there yeah no regrets all good fun and Steve it was it was a brilliant um Inplay tip I mean we got our money’s worth with Bryon there didn’t we played played brilliantly and ultimately beaten by um yeah a solid performer out front well there we go that is the usj wrapped up show flaves your winner and that’s me wrapped up on Sweet Spot what a brilliant
