FAQs

Can you cook ground beef and veggies in same pan? ›

Heat avocado oil in a large (12-inch) cast iron skillet to medium heat. Add the carrots, broccoli florets, and radishes and stir well. How to make hamburger meat in a pan? ›

Heat the olive oil in a pan over. Add the beef and cook until it starts to brown on the bottom. Use a spatula or wooden spoon to break up the beef while stirring occasionally, being careful not to overmix the meat. Cook until there is no more pink and browned all over.

Do you saute veggies or ground beef first? ›

Cook the meat first to get that caramelization, then take it out and add in your veggies. The veggies will absorb all of the meaty flavors and scrape up all the delicious bits it left behind. In the end, you'll get caramelized, flavorful meat and tender, not mushy veggies.

Do you use vegetable oil when cooking ground beef in a pan? ›

Heat the oil in a large stainless steel or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. If you're using a nonstick pan you don't have to use oil (unless you're using extra-lean ground beef). Cast iron and stainless steel are the best choices for getting that beautiful, brown sear.
