20 Mouthwatering Eggs Benedict Recipes (2024)

In case I haven’t mentioned it enough, breakfast is one of my favourite meals of the day. Whether I’m chowing down on hash and eggs, baked oatmeal or French toast, the first meal of the day is one of the best.

I particularly love savoury breakfasts at the weekend, when we have more time to cook, but one dish I rarely make at home is Eggs Benedict. I don’t know why, because it’s one of the first things I order off brunch menus when I eat out. I guess I’m always scared off by how fiddly it can be to make your own Hollandaise sauce, especially first thing in the morning if your tummy’s rumbling and you just want to eat.

Having found the following collection of delicious Eggs Benedict recipes and how simple and tasty they look, I’m seriously thinking about trying to work this brunch dish into my monthly rotation. What do you think? Do you make Eggs Benedict often? Or ever?

California Eggs Benedict (via The Curvy Carrot): As an avocado fiend, I’m won over by almost anything that has avocado in it. But slather it with sriracha hollandaise and Monterrey Jack and I’m sold.

Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict (via Damn Delicious): In my opinion, smoked salmon and eggs go together like macaroni and cheese. Simple and delicious.

Cheddar Eggs Benedict with Cilantro Lime Hollandaise (via Whole Home News): Using jalapeno cheddar biscuits as the base for Eggs Benedict? This is genius.

Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus Eggs Benedict (via Mountain Mama Cooks): What I love about this dish is that the toppings are the star of the show, and the bread base is so simple.

Irish Eggs Benedict with Corned Beef and Cabbage Hash (via Fabtastic Eats): This is as hearty as breakfast comes and combines corned beef brisket in the Eggs Benedict and the hash. Well played.

Crab Cakes Eggs Benedict (via Rock Recipes): I’m drooling just writing this. Crab cakes and runny eggs on top of fried bread dough = delicious food coma.

Arugula and Prosciutto Eggs Benedict (via Foodie Crush): This recipe calls for a hollandaise sauce made in the blender, which makes things so much simpler and has a Mediterranean twist with the Proscuitto and tomatoes.

Eggs Benedict with Bacon Avodaise and Harissa (via Closet Cooking): Again with the delicious avocado. This time turned into its own creamy Hollandaise and combined with crispy bacon and harissa spread.

Eggs Benedict Burger (via Confections of a Foodie Bride): If you thought Eggs Benedict was just for breakfast, you thought wrong. This burger is served on an English muffin and topped with bacon, poached egg and Hollandaise sauce.

Chipotle Guacamole Eggs Benedict (via Cookin Canuck): So, you remember my love of chipotles, right? Well this combines a chipotle guac with crumbled queso fresco and the other usual suspects. A Mexican take on breakfast deliciousness.

Eggs Benedict on Roasted Brown Mushrooms (via Drizzle and Dip): Low carb and making us feel a whole lot better about consuming Hollandaise at breakfast, this recipe manages to squeeze in an extra cheeky portion of veggies with the roasted mushroom base.

Arugula Eggs Benedict with Goats Cheese Hollandaise (via The Law Student’s Wife): Sat on top of a crispy farina cake, this dish combines sauteed arugula and creamy goat cheese sundried tomato Hollandaise. I’m in love.

Eggs Benedict with BBQ Hollandaise (via A Farm Girls Dabbles): I’m loving these unique takes on Hollandaise sauce, including this one using barbeque sauce, powdered mustard and chilli powder.

Eggs Benedict on Polenta Cakes with Pesto Hollandaise (via Real Food Family): This gluten free version of our favourite brunch dish features an anchovy pesto and a 3-ingredient Hollandaise sauce. Smashing.

Country Style Eggs Benedict (via Spoon Fork Bacon): I didn’t even know what country style was until I saw this, and now I’m wondering why I’ve never had it before? Fried steak with biscuits, gravy and runny eggs. Wowza.

Eggs Benedict Strata (via Taste and Tell Blog): The best thing about this is that you can make it the night before, and then still enjoy all the flavours of Eggs Benedict the next morning, fresh baked from the oven.

Eggs Benedict Biscuit Cups with Bloody Mary Shooters (via Pillsbury): I’d pass on the Bloody (Scott would happily oblige and take it off my hands) but biscuits filled with eggs, Hollandaise, bacon and tomato? Um, yes please!

Vegetable Eggs Benedict (via Joanne Eats Well With Others): Proving that it doesn’t have to be all about the ham or bacon, this veggie version features a goat cheese and roasted red pepper Hollandaise. Being naughty never looked this healthy before.

Kalua Pork Eggs Benedict with Sriracha Hollandaise (via Pineapple and Coconut): Hawaiian style shredded pork, bok choi and sriracha kick this dish up a gear and give it a unique twist.

Eggs Benedict and Asparagus Breakfast Skillet (via Kitchen Simplicity): I love a good skillet breakfast when you can throw everything in a pan. This dish features hash browns instead of a bread base and is topped with a blender Hollandaise. Perfect.
